Dr. Anthony Romeo to Perform Season-Ending Shoulder Surgery on Minnesota Twin Tim Wood

Anthony Romeo, MD, board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician, will perform season-ending shoulder surgery on the Minnesota Twins relief pitcher Tim Wood, according to an MLB.com report.

Dr. Romeo will perform the surgery to repair the labrum in the player’s right shoulder. The procedure will be performed in Chicago.

 

Dr. Romeo is the director of the section of shoulder and elbow at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
