Demand for Joint Arthroplasty to Grow 7 Percent Annually Through 2013

Despite the worldwide recession, demand for joint arthroplasty is expected to grow by 7 percent a year through 2013, according to a release by Millennium Research Group.

The recession slowed growth in joint arthroplasty between 2008 and 2009, but the technology, which includes hip resurfacing and joint revision implants, is still growing because a wider range of patients can be treated than with previous technologies.
