Data Breach Incidents in Medical Industry Climb 115% in One Year

The medical industry reported 115 percent more data breach incidents in 2010 compared to 2009, according to a study (pdf) by the Digital Forensics Association.

The report, “The Leaking Vault 2011: Six Years of Data Breaches,” provides information on data breaches reported in the business, education, government and medical industries from 2005-2010.
