D1 Sport Training in Alabama Adds Medical Services

D1 Sports Training, an Alabama-based sports training center, is preparing to add medical care through sports medicine specialist Geoffrey Connor, MD, along with additional specialists, according to a report from The Birmingham News.

Dr. Connor will most likely be joined by a primary care physician and eventually specialists in areas such as neurology. D1 plans to integrate its existing physical therapy and rehabilitation services to provide comprehensive care to athletes.

D1 is also preparing to open a 13th location in Tampa, according to the report. The D1 medical practice is affiliated with Surgical Care Affiliates.
