Crouse Hospital, Syracuse University Athletics forge sports medicine partnership: 4 key notes

Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y., has been selected to provide comprehensive orthopedic services for Syracuse University Athletics, according to an MD News report.

1. The sports medicine team will include three physicians from Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists and three from Upstate Bone and Joint Center in Syracuse, which have united under Crouse Hospital.

 

2. The physician team provides a wide array of orthopedic care services, with a focus on acute musculoskeletal and overuse injuries.

 

3. The partnership provides complete coverage of SU’s athletics programs, including football, basketball as well as track and field.

 

4. The physician team will also collaborate with SU’s athletic trainers and physical therapists.
