1. Led by Rod Walters, DA, Walters Inc. will review the football team’s policies and protocols. The review is expected to begin the week of June 18.
2. Sophomore Jordan McNair died June 13 at 19 years old, ESPN reports.
3. He had collapsed May 29 during an organized team workout. Temperatures that day reached around 80 degrees.
4. Trainers called 911 after they noticed Mr. McNair was having problems recovering following drills. The official cause of death hasn’t yet been determined.
5. Players had received a gallon of water that morning and proper nutrition, Athletic Director Damon Evans told CBS Baltimore.
“We believe that it’s important to bring in an external group to conduct the review. We started that process of discussing from the moment Jordan was hospitalized,” Mr. Evans said.
