Connecticut Academy of Family Physicians Names Dr. Ross Winakor President

Ross Winakor, MD, has been installed as president of the Connecticut Academy of Family Physicians, according to a Hartford Courant report.

Dr. Winakor has a professional interest in sports medicine. He is a family physician at Mansfield Family Practice and has served on the CAFP Executive Board. He earned his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine at Hunterdon Medical Center.

His additional training includes a primary care sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
