Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers to Share Office Space With St. Elizabeth Physicians

Edgewood, Ky.-based Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers will be sharing a 50,000-square-foot medical office building in Florence, Ky., with six primary care physicians from St. Elizabeth Physicians, according to a Cincinnati Business Courier report.

St. Elizabeth Physicians includes 300 physicians affiliated with Edgewood, Ky.-based St. Elizabeth Healthcare. The six primary care physicians who will share the medical office building will occupy 16,000 square feet. The space will also include an urgent care center.

 

Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers will occupy 34,000 square feet and the space will include X-ray capabilities and MRI testing. The center offers care for injuries or diseases of the bones, joints and muscles.

 

The office building will open in summer or fall 2014. JoAnn Reis, CEO of Commonwealth Orthopaedic Centers, told the Cincinnati Business Courier that this move should not be interpreted as a precursor to a merger.
