CMS Seeking Feedback on Total Hip and Total Knee Replacement Outcomes

CMS is accepting comments regarding outcome measures developed for elective total hip and total knee replacement surgery through Aug. 11, according to an AHA News Now report.

CMS is partnering with Yale New Haven Health Services Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation in order to develop measures which have the potential for use in reporting Medicare’s pay-for-reporting program. CMS is interested in feedback on the definitions of outcomes, risk adjustments and TEP comments.
