Comments submitted through the site between July 26, 2009, and July 30, 2009, for both OPPS/ASC Payment System and the Physician Fee Schedule, should be resubmitted by Aug. 31, 2009, by 5 p.m. Comments can be sent to CMS electronically, by mail, by overnight mail or by hand or courier.
The software problem has been identified and corrected, according to the release, and CMS notes that safeguards are in place to prevent the error from happening again.
