The $3.2 million renovation included turning the rooms in the 16-bed unit to private and adding handicapped accessible bathrooms. The renovation also included electronic charting for physicians and nurses, a 32-inch wide screen television and wireless Internet access, according to the report.
Lakewood’s renovation plan was developed by leaders from other hospitals in the Cleveland Clinic system, Clinic administrators, community physicians and foundation trustees, according to the report.
