Researchers will use equipment manufactured and donated by Rawlings to examine protective accessories for baseball and football athletes, assessing the equipment’s ability to minimize impact. The team will also research assessment techniques for the amount of injury to the brain initially and over time.
The research team hopes to learn the best methods for designing better sporting equipment.
