Citing Heavy Workload, Orthopedic Surgeon Moves to New State

Dr. Micek said he decided to leave his old practice, which is near Lexington, Ky., because of a heavy workload, including management of four off-site clinics, taking coverage at four hospitals and serving as team physician at four local high schools and one college.

“With all of these responsibilities came an equally high level of stress and demand upon my time,” he said. “As a result of all of those seven-day work weeks, I decided that it was time to relocate.”

Dr. Micek received his MD degree from the State University of New York in Syracuse.

He joins Ana Palmieri, MD, and Laura Lendermon, MD, at Collierville Orthopedics.
