The lawsuit alleged that local cardiologists were given time slots at Christ Hospital’s outpatient cardiology testing unit based on the amount of coronary arterial bypass graph procedures and catheter lab revenues they generated.

The Christ Hospital said it had done nothing wrong but settled to avoid the risk of the multibillion-dollar award sought by the government.
