Christopher KauffmanChristopher Kauffman, MD (Premier Orthopaedics, Nashville, Tenn.). Dr. Kauffman is a spine specialist at Premier Orthopaedics and serves on the board of directors for the North American Spine Society. He serves on several NASS committees as chairman and co-chair. He is also a reviewer for the Spine Journal and an alternative representative for the Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement with the American Medical Association and NASS.

 

Dr. Kauffman previously was an adjunct faculty member at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn., and an assistant clinical professor at the University of California San Diego. He was a clinical instructor in orthopedic surgery at Yale University School of Medicine as well. 

 

He is an active member of the American Medical Association and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is on the AAOS coding, coverage and reimbursement committee.

 

Dr. Kauffman earned his medical degree at State University of New York—Health Science Center at Brooklyn and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey in Newark. His additional training includes a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of California San Diego.
