Chief of Hawaii Insurance Exchange to Resign

Coral Andrews, executive director of Hawaii’s health insurance exchange, will resign effective Dec. 6.

The reason for Ms. Andrews’ resignation was not disclosed. Tom Matsuda — the current Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act implementation manager with the governor’s office — will replace her as interim executive director starting Dec. 9, according to a news release. The Hawaii Health Connector board of directors has begun a search for a permanent replacement.
