Chicago Men’s & Women’s Platform Tennis Leagues taps Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush for orthopedic care: 5 key notes

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush was designated the official orthopedic provider for Chicago Men’s and Women’s Platform Tennis Leagues.

“We are thrilled to begin this relationship with Chicago area platform tennis players,” said Christopher DeWald, MD, of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. “Our physician team has vast experience working with both elite and amateur athletes, and we’re confident that area paddle players will receive outstanding care.”

 

Here are five key notes:

 

1. Under the agreement, MOR will provide priority treatment for Chicago Men’s and Women’s Platform Tennis Leagues, Region V of the American Platform Tennis Association.

 

2. MOR is a team physician for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Fire, Chicago Steel Hockey and DePaul Blue Demons.

 

3. MOR providers will care for the players’ orthopedic injuries and provide medical care during select tournaments.

 

4. The physicians have specialized training in orthopedic surgery and can treat common paddle injuries in addition to the most complicated orthopedic conditions.

 

5. The practice includes physician assistants, registered nurses, athletic therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and X-ray technicians in addition to administrative personnel.
