Chicago Cubs pitcher Cade Horton is expected to have season-ending elbow surgery to repair damage to the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, ESPN reported April 7.
The surgery, which is yet to be scheduled, is expected to be either a full Tommy John reconstruction or an internal brace repair. The decision will be made once surgeons go into the elbow.
Mr. Horton has visited Keith Meister, MD, about his condition.
