Dr. Saltzman is the chair of the department of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in Chapel Hill, N.C., and completed his internship and residency training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Saltzman completed a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Dr. Saltzman also served as a professor at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, for 14 years, working in the orthopedic surgery, bioengineering and physical rehabilitation departments.
