Dr. Yacisen is now treating patients with osteoarthritis using the iUni and iDuo (personalized unicompartmental and bicompartmental knee resurfacing implants) developed by ConforMIS.

Benefits for patients receiving the implants include greater preservation of ligaments and of bone in the femur and tibia compared to traditional total knee replacement, according to the report.
