Centra Health’s Joint Replacement Programs Earn Recertification From Joint Commission

Lynchburg, Va.-based Centra Health’s total hip and total knee replacement programs have received reaccreditation from The Joint Commission, according to a report by The News & Advance.

The Joint Commission’s certification requirements for joint replacement programs address three areas — compliance with national standards, effective and consistent use of evidence-based clinical guidelines for joint replacements and the collection and analysis of performance measurement data. To maintain certification, Centra participates in an on-site review every two years, according to the report.
