Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute provides supplies, personnel to 1st all-refugee soccer team training camp: 3 notes

Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute will volunteer medical personnel and supplies to the first-ever Darfuri Refugee Women’s Team training camp in October.

Here are three things to know:

1. Cedars-Sinai is a community partner of iACT, which organized the first-ever Darfur United Women’s Team in eastern Chad. The all-refugee women’s soccer team will launch at the week-long training camp.

2. The women’s team follows the success of Darfur United Men’s Team, which has players currently living in Chad, Sweden and the U.S.

3. Cedars-Sinai provided personnel and materials for DUMT’s first U.S. tryouts in summer 2017.
