Captiva Spine earns FDA clearance for 3D-printed titanium cervical cages: 3 insights

Captiva Spine received FDA 510(k) clearance for its TirboLOX-C 3D-Printed Titanium Cervical Cages.

Here are three things to know:

1. The titanium alloy interbody fusion devices include a 3D-printed dual layer organic lattice structure. The lattice structure features a micro-rough surface topography, interconnected dual porosity and open architecture designed to reduce radiographic presence for clear imaging.

2. TirboLOX-C’s high friction coefficient is intended to create immediate bidirectional fixation.

3. The company will showcase the TirboLOX-C Titanium Cervical Cages at the North American Spine Society meeting in Los Angeles, Sept. 26-28.
