Kevin Mikaelian, MD, a former member of the orthopedics group, stated the group was attracted by Sutter Gould’s access to patients, use of electronic medical records and centralized location for imaging and surgery.
“The future is quite uncertain as to reimbursements,” Dr. Mikaelian said in the report. “It’s become much more difficult in private practice to sustain the business.”
