California Orthopedic Physicians and Hospital Sign Co-Management Agreement

Orthopedic Management Associates in Los Gatos, Calif., and El Camino Hospital Los Gatos have signed a co-management services agreement to focus on improving quality of care and operational efficiency in orthopedic services, according to a hospital news release.

Physicians will be able to directly manage the orthopedic service line at El Camino Hospital Los Gatos as part of the agreement, which covers all inpatient and outpatient orthopedic services at the hospital. The hospital will provide the clinical infrastructure and support while the OMA physicians co-manage the clinical environment.

The hospital and OMA representatives are equally represented on the co-management group board, whose primary responsibility is to implement quality improvement initiatives.
