1. The hospital’s pediatric-dedicated cardiac catherization labs offer minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment techniques.
2. The imaging technologies provide the lowest radiation doses available and notify care teams if an area is being exposed to too much radiation.
3. Packard Children’s is the first pediatric hospital in the world to implement the use of a Synaptive Medical’s BrightMatter imaging suite.
4. The hospital added EchoPixel’s interactive virtual imaging platform True3D, which is designed for physicians to view and manipulate layers of MRI and CT scans in an open 3D-space from inside the operating room and without the need of special eyewear.
5. To reduce patients’ anxiety, the hospital’s Childhood Anxiety Reduction through Innovation and Technology program implemented virtual reality headsets designed to distract patients during minor procedures, blood draws, surgery preparation and other potentially painful or stressful experiences.
