Brookwood Medical Center opened a primary care and sports medicine clinic in Leeds, Ala., according to Birmingham Business Journal.

Here are four things to know about the clinic.

 

1. The clinic, Brookwood Primary Care-Grand River, is set to open on Sept. 14.

 

2. Chris Carter, MD, will lead the clinic and will have four employees working alongside him.

 

3. Brookwood Primary Care-Grand River is the first dual primary care and sports medicine clinic within the Brookwood Care Network.

 

4. Brookwood Medical Center hopes the clinic will bring in more athletes from Leeds and Moody.
