Boston Scientific to Launch Suturing Device for SCS Systems

Boston Scientific has announced that it has acquired fiXate Tissue Band from Anulex Technologies and will be launching it in the United States.

The band is a suturing device that is designed to enable quick placement of a suture to help secure a spinal cord stimulator lead or pain pump catheter. The stimulators are designed to manage chronic pain.

Boston Scientific introduced its spinal cord stimulator product earlier this month at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Pain Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
