Blue Jays Pitcher Jesse Litsch Undergoes Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery

James Andrews, MD, recently treated Blue Jays pitcher Jesse Litsch with a platelet-rich plasma injection to help heal shoulder inflammation, according to a National Post report.

The injection site became infected and Mr. Litsch underwent emergency arthroscopic surgery last week. As a result of the procedure, Mr. Litsch will not begin throwing again for six weeks.
