BCBSNC, OrthoCarolina Sign Agreement for Bundled Payment Program

 

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina has entered into an agreement with Charlotte, N.C.-based OrthoCarolina for a new bundled payment program for total knee replacement surgeries.

Under the new agreement, BCBSNC customers will pay a single price for knee replacement surgeries at OrthoCarolina.  The agreement also includes preoperative care, all services associated with the surgery and personalized care coordination from an OrthoCarolina patient navigator.
