Arthrosurface is marketing the SpeedSpiral carpometacarpal implant as the first such load-bearing biologic implant capable of replacing arthritic bone. Surgeons can use the implant to address osteoarthritis-related joint pain or instability.
“Arthrosurface has been searching for the most effective surgical treatment for addressing this joint pathology for over a decade,” Arthrosurface CEO Steve Ek said. “With the guidance of our surgeon design team, I’m convinced we now have it.”
