Researchers examined 44 patients over the age of 70 undergoing all-arthroscopic repair of symptomatic full-thickness rotator cuff tears. After a minimum of two-year follow-up on range of motion and dynamometer strength testing using the Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons score, Simple Shoulder Test score and pain score on a visual analogue scale, researchers found that all scores improved.
Additionally, the patients participating in the study experienced a low complication rate with the procedure.
