Allison Wade, MD, a physician practicing with Vero Orthopedics and on staff at River Medical Center, replaced the bones in the patient’s ankle with a metal joint during the six-hour surgery. In addition to the ankle replacement, the patient had her heel realigned. Less than a week after the surgery, the patient was able to go out dancing without a brace.
Dr. Wade was trained in ankle replacement at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center of Pennsylvania State University in Hershey.
