Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center adds 2 providers

Birmingham, Ala.-based Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center boosted its clinical staff with the additions of Monte Ketchum, DO, and Marcus Rothermich, MD.

Dr. Ketchum is a nonsurgical sports medicine and orthopedic physician. He earned his medical degree from Harrogate, Tenn.-based Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed a residency at St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Bayfront Health, and then completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Birmingham-based American Sports Medicine Institute and Andrews Sports Medicine.

He’ll see patients at Andrews’ Gardendale, Ala., location, as well as at Hoover, Ala.-based St. Vincent’s One Nineteen and St. Vincent’s Birmingham.

Dr. Rothermich is an orthopedic surgeon with a focus in sports medicine. He earned his medical degree from Charlottesville-based University of Virginia, completed a residency at St. Louis-based Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and then completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at American Sports Medicine Institute and Andrews Sports Medicine.

He’ll see patients at Andrews’ Trussville, Ala., and Winfield, Ala., locations and at St. Vincent’s Birmingham.

They are skilled doctors dedicated to serving their patients and communities, but just as importantly, they are awesome husbands and fathers,” said Jeffrey Dugas, MD, managing partner at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center.
