Andrews Institute hosts free annual athletic exams: 3 highlights

Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, Fla., provided students athletes free pre-participation exams on June 10, according to the Pensacola News Journal.

Here are three highlights:

 

1. Over 1,500 high school student-athletes received free exams.

 

2. The examinations included a medical history review, height, weight and vision assessment, an orthopaedic musculoskeletal exam and tradition physical examination from a physician.

 

3. Gulf Breeze Hospital in Pensacola, Fla., and other area volunteers help assist with pre-participation exams.
