AmSurg Set to Acquire Majority of IL’s Glen Endoscopy Center

AmSurg Corp. is seeking to acquire a majority stake in Glen Endoscopy Center in Glenview, Ill., according to a Crain’s Chicago Business report.

AmSurg would pay $7.6 million for a 51 percent share of the facility. Physicians would continue to own shares of the facility.

The acquisition must still be approved by the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board. The transaction is expected to close Oct. 1.

The Glen Endoscopy Center is a specialty surgery center serving the North Shore Chicago suburbs and surrounding communities.
