American Medical Society for Sports Medicine Names Dr. Jonathan Drezner 2012 President

Jonathan Drezner, MD, an associate professor at the University of Washington in Seattle, has been named president of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.

Dr. Drezner is also the associate director of the sports medicine fellowship at the University of Washington and serves as team physician for the Seattle Seahawks. Throughout his career, Dr. Drezner has served in leadership positions with AMSSM and was involved in the development of the AMSSM Foundation Research Grant Awards.

Dr. Drezner earned his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine and completed his residency at Tacoma Family Medicine. His additional training includes a fellowship in primary care sports medicine and faculty development at the University of Washington.
