AMA to Physicians: Apply for E-Prescribing Exemption by Nov. 1

The American Medical Association is encouraging physicians to apply for an exemption from Medicare ePrescribing by Nov. 1 if they cannot meet requirements, according to an AMA news release.

If physicians miss the Nov. 1 deadline for applying for an exemption, they may face monetary penalties in 2012.
