Alpine Surgery Center’s Dr. Gloria Beim Named CMO for 2014 Winter Olympics

Gloria Beim, MD, of Alpine Surgery Center in Colorado, was named chief medical officer for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

Dr. Beim founded her practice, Alpine Orthopaedics, Sports Medicine & Regional Hand Center in 1999 and Gunnison County’s first ASC in 2006. In her new role, she will work with the director of sports medicine for the United States Olympic Committee to coordinate medical care for Team USA’s athletes and supervise around 50 medical staff.

 

She previously provided care at the 2012 and 2004 Olympic Games in addition to other high-level competitions.
