Adena to conduct free physicals for student athletes: 4 things to know

Chillicothe, Ohio-based Adena Sports Medicine will offer free sports and activity physicals for high school student athletes, according to a Chillicothe Gazette report.

Here are four things to know about the physicals, according to the report:

 

1. Adena Sports Medicine is part of the Adena Health Systems, and operates within the Adena Regional Medical Center department with five sports medicine physicians in three locations across southern Ohio.

 

2. The free physicals will be available to athletes, cheerleaders and band members grades 8 to 11.

 

3. Students can talk with sports medicine professionals about general health, their current fitness levels and also discuss existing injuries as well as have their general health evaluated.

 

4. Adena will also conduct two free, appointment-only athletic physical clinics in Jackson and Chillicothe in June.
