AAOS Names Dr. Kevin Bozic Chair of the Council on Research and Quality

Kevin J. Bozic, MD, vice chair of the department of orthopedic surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, was recently named chair of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Council on Research and Quality.

In addition to his role at UCSF, Dr. Bozic is core faculty for the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies and has played a role in California’s Joint Replacement Registry, Integrated Healthcare Association’s Bundled Payment Project and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Effectiveness Healthcare Stakeholder Group.

Dr. Bozic’s clinical interests include adult reconstructive surgery for the hip and knee and treating degenerative disorders or failed prior joint arthroplasties. In his new role, Dr. Bozic hopes to create an infrastructure to connect with patients and work with them to provide a better care experience.
