Dr. Berry has served on numerous committees, including the American Joint Replacement Registry, and most recently as vice president of the organization. He previously served as the president of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
“We (orthopedic surgeons) must constantly renew our knowledge foundation with the incredible opportunities provided by almost instant access to orthopedic information — such as the Academy’s own OrthoPortal,” said Dr. Berry in the release. “I will look for us all to work together to seize the opportunities promised by these new communication channels to provide education and information to our members and to the public.”
Dr. Berry earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School and completed his orthopedic residencies at Harvard, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, all in Boston. His additional training includes a fellowship at Mayo Clinic.
