AAOS Launches Education Enhancement Fund

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons formally launched the AAOS Education Enhancement Fund at the organization’s annual meeting in February, according to an AAOS Now news report.

The fund was established to expand surgeon education and attracted more than $120,000 in contributions prior to the meeting. The AAOS Education Enhancement Fund was established in Dec. 2010 with the goal of supporting existing and new surgeon education programs.

The fund will benefit AAOS members for incorporation in the Maintenance of Certification program and facilitate additional education outreach programs.
