Ms. Hackett, who is also the chair of the American Society of Association Executives, guided discussions on how organizations can offer services and products in China as well as engage in future collaborations. The trip focused on Shanghai and Beijing, where Ms. Hackett met with the president of the Chinese Orthopaedic Association.
According to the report, China has five times more orthopedic surgeons than the United States, and AAOS hopes to collaborate with these surgeons on orthopedic education efforts.
