The two new resolutions include:

•    The Provision of Orthopaedic Care in Rural America — the organization will study orthopedic care in rural parts of the country that currently have limited access to care and options for addressing access issues.
•    Resident Duty Hours — the Academy will work with surgical and medical specialty societies to advocate the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education to reduce resident duty hour restrictions as well as oppose further restrictions.
