Here’s what you need to know:
1. The certification was created to allow physicians to document pain management skills and training. In order to complete the written and practical exam, physicians must complete various medical education credits and exemplify practice
experience.
2. The certification is valid for 10 years. Physicians must then renew their certificate.

• Jennifer McDonald, MD, of The Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario
• Agnes Stogicza, MD, of the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
