7 Statistics on Orthopedic Surgeon Time Spent in the Hospital

Here are seven statistics on the amount of time each week that orthopedic surgeons spend seeing patients in the hospital setting, according to the Medscape Orthopedist Compensation Report: 2013.

Of the orthopedic surgeons surveyed:

•    33 percent spend one to four hours a week
•    19 percent spend five to nine hours a week
•    15 percent spend less than an hour
•    12 percent spend 10 to 14 hours
•    10 percent spend 25 hours or more
•    6 percent spend 15 to 19 hours
•    5 percent spend 20 to 24 hours
