5 things to know about AOSSM’s new Hall of Fame member Dr. K. Donald Shelbourne

The American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine inducted K. Donald Shelbourne, MD, into its Hall of Fame.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Dr. Shelbourne is currently the medical director for the Shelbourne Knee Center at Community Westview Hospital in Indianapolis.

 

2. He is also an associate clinical professor at Indiana University School of Medicine at Indianapolis.

 

3. He served as team physician for the Indianapolis Colts for 14 years.

 

4. He also serves on the editorial board of the American Journal of Sports Medicine and won AOSSM’s Hughston Award in 2000 and 2010.

 

5. He completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
