Here are five orthopedic and spine surgeons that treated professional athletes in May.

Neal ElAttrache, MD, repaired the torn ulnar collateral ligament in Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager’s elbow. Dr. ElAttrache also examined Dodgers’ pitcher Clayton Kershaw; repaired the UCL of Boston Red Sox pitcher Jay Groome; scoped the knee of Oklahoma City Thunder center Paul George; repaired the shoulder of lightweight world champion boxer Vasyl Lomachenko; performed arthroscopic knee surgery on Thunder guard Andre Roberson; and repaired multiple structures in the shoulder of Milwaukee Brewers’ catcher Stephen Vogt.

Donald Sheridan, MD, repaired the torn ulnar collateral ligament in the left thumb of Milwaukee Brewers’ first baseman Eric Thames and examined the hand of Arizona Diamondbacks’ outfielder AJ Pollock.

James Andrews, MD, examined the strained right elbow of San Francisco Giants pitcher Johnny Cueto and repaired the torn labrum of Minnesota Twins shortstop Wander Javier.

After undergoing three examinations with three physicians, Robert Anderson, MD, performed an arthroscopic surgery on the left ankle of Washington Nationals’ outfielder Adam Eaton.

Asif Ilyas, MD, repaired the extensor tendon in Philadelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington’s left middle finger.
