5 spine, orthopedic medtch investments in 90 days

Becker’s reported on five spine and orthopedic devicemakers landing nearly $200 million in investments since July 29:

1. Devicemaker Moximed has raised $40 million to develop what the company says is the world’s first implantable shock absorber for the knee.

2. Xtant Medical entered an agreement to sell common stock and warrants to investors. The investment is expected to be about $9.75 million, and proceeds are expected to help working capital and general corporate purchases.

3. Elevation Spine, a developer of integrated-fixation spinal technologies, on Sept. 22 completed its Series B preferred stock financing, totaling $11 million.

4. Orthobiologics company Ossio closed a $38.5 million series C financing round.

5. Think Surgical raised $100 million from a new investor to accelerate commercialization of its surgical robots.
